About Jocelyn

Jocelyn Chemel helps people reconnect with their inner truth by working with what has always been there: lived experience, memory, and meaning.

Like many people, Jocelyn spent years noticing how easily we come to define ourselves by what feels hard, unfinished, or confusing. She observed how readily people could name their struggles — and how much more difficult it was for them to name their strengths without hesitation or doubt.

What kept drawing her attention, in her own life and in others', were moments of joy. Not just the feeling of joy itself, but what those moments contained.

Again and again, she noticed that joyful memories shared something in common. People described them as moments when all felt well with the world — when their heart felt open, their body felt light or expanded, and they experienced a sense of ease and presence that felt unmistakably true.

Within these memories, Jocelyn began to notice recurring visual elements: landscapes, animals, colors, symbols — horses, water, stars, flowers. These images weren't decorative or incidental. They carried meaning.

She came to understand these personal joy symbols as clues to a person's innate way of being — how they naturally engage with life when they are not trying to prove, fix, or improve themselves.

Over time, Jocelyn recognized these symbols as a kind of inner map: a reflection of a person's strengths, orientation, and natural way of moving through the world.

This insight became the foundation of her work.

Through Joy Symbol Readings, Jocelyn guides people back to their joyful memories and reflects the symbols and themes that emerge. The purpose isn't to relive the past, but to understand what those experiences reveal about your strengths and natural ways of responding to life in the present.

Rather than telling you who to become, a Joy Symbol Reading helps you recognize who you already are.

Jocelyn's approach is intuitive, art-informed, and deeply human. She draws on symbolic reflection, creative imagery, and attentive listening to create a space where people feel genuinely seen and understood.

She isn't interested in labels, diagnoses, or quick fixes. She's interested in coherence — helping people recognize the recurring themes that have given their life meaning all along. The work is gentle, but it is also precise.

When someone recognizes their joy symbols, something settles.

A Joy Symbol Reading is especially meaningful for people who:

✦ value insight without analysis or judgment

✦ are navigating life transitions and want to understand how they can already meet what's changing

✦ sense there is something essential about them that hasn't been fully witnessed or celebrated

Confidence re-emerges.

Self-trust grows.

Connection to self — and to the world around them — deepens.

You are not defined only by what has been difficult in your life.

You are also defined by what has been alive and radiant in you from the beginning.

Many people have been using their skills and ways of being unconsciously — shaped by the need to fit in or feel safe. Over time, those innate strengths can become buried.

Joy has been leaving clues all along.

Jocelyn's work is simply to help you see them.

If you're sensing that there is more intelligence, depth, and capacity inside you than you're currently accessing — and you want a way to recognize and trust what's already guiding you — this work offers a grounded place to begin.
